After a good couple of years with my Sonicare Elite it was certainly beginning to become a bit tatty!!! The rubber on the handle was peeling off, the magnets (on the head) which connected the head to the body would break off quite quickly and easily, the batteries were loosing their charge very quickly… All in all i knew i could do some bits to fix it up, but i decided to go with a new brush…
In steps the Sonicare Flexcare Pro (HX6932). I managed to get it on offer which meant I received two handles, three heads, a soft and hard carry case, shaving socket charger, and a UV Sanitiser… Quite a complete set-up I must say, and quite a lot of space taken up on my bathroom shelf!!!
Out of the box there are quite a few improvements with the replacement brush heads just popping onto the holder, sliding over a slotted shaft, as opposed to the old magnet system. This makes the whole brush smaller, and i would imagine as less plastic is used more environmentally friendly too. The whole connection method has been simplified mean for less nooks and crannies for toothpaste build up, meaning the Flexcare will be a lot easier to keep clean and maintain than the last (Sonicare Elite).
The Sonicare Replacement brush head seems to have been reshaped too with the bristles being shaped to allow for more reach at the back, and to get into those tighter spots. Again an improvement over the flat brush head of the Elite.
There seems to be quite a few settings on the brush that will need to play with further before any comment can be made on these – but from what I can see I will just keep using the clean function as i did on the Sonicare Elite!!!
If you are interested in this brush and you might be able to get the same offer I received from Toothbrush Direct – although I imagine this will be while stocks last!
